Champaign Area REALTORS Donate 275 Blankets to Area Organizations

Bundles of Warmth Keeping People Warm This Winter

The Champaign County Association of REALTORS® recently donated 275 blankets to area organizations as part of its Bundles of Warmth program to distribute to those in need within the Champaign County Area.

            "Winter is upon us and as temperatures drop we want to help those in need through our collection of new blankets for our Bundles of Warmth drive," said Stefanie Pratt, president of the Champaign County Association of REALTORS®. "Our Bundles of Warmth program has been a long-time fundraising program for our organization for over 20 years. We are so thankful to the REALTORS® and affiliate members who helped contribute to this year's program to help bring added warmth to individuals and families who need it the most this winter."

            The blankets collected were donated to charitable organizations in the Champaign County area. Those blankets were donated to organizations including: Restoration Urban Ministries, 62 blankets; Salt & Light Ministry, 62 blankets; The Times Center, 50 blankets; Circle of Friends, 25 blankets; Empty Tomb, 61 blankets and Family Service of Champaign County, 15 blankets.

            The blankets were purchased from the Savoy Walmart who waived the sales tax on the purchases and also donated blankets to the drive.

            The Champaign County Association of REALTORS® is a voluntary trade organization serving the Champaign County and surrounding areas is the leading resource for REALTOR® members and an advocate for home ownership and private property rights.
